About the role#
As a Data Analytics Intern at BMO, you will join our campus program for an 8-month term. This role is designed to integrate you into the team, allowing you to contribute to real projects while gaining practical experience. You will work on-site in Toronto, collaborating with professionals to build, refine, and scale analytics solutions.
What you'll do#
- Mine and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to uncover insights.
- Design and construct new processes for modeling data.
- Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms using big data technology.
- Assess the feasibility of AI and ML solutions for business problems.
- Conduct large-scale analysis to discover patterns and trends.
- Provide recommendations and advice to business leaders to maintain market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with product teams to support data-driven decision making and business planning.
- Investigate new technologies and tools for data solutions.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to ensure all work aligns with bank policies and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with an intention to return to studies.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile frameworks and practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong focus on continuous process improvement and data-driven decision making.
- Skills in stakeholder management, influence, and relationship building.
- Adaptability in areas of technology transformation, change management, and systems thinking.
