About the role#
As a Procurement and Global Supply Chain Intern, you will support supply chain operations including sourcing, purchasing, subcontract management, and supplier coordination. This role provides hands-on experience in procurement processes and cost or lead-time optimization. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the work performed at this facility.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and issue purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and sourcing documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, order status, and delivery updates.
- Maintain procurement records, perform data entry, and track status within internal systems.
- Conduct basic cost, pricing, or market research to support sourcing decisions.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain supplier scorecards, focusing on quality and responsiveness.
- Support compliance with internal policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards such as FAR or DFARS.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with contracts, finance, and program teams.
- Identify and recommend process-improvement opportunities within the supply chain workflow.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering, with an expected graduation date in Summer 2028 or Summer 2029.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, purchasing, logistics, or contract management is helpful.
- Familiarity with data analysis, research, ERP systems, or procurement regulations like FAR or DFARS is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
