About the role#
As a Facilities Engineering Intern, you will join our team to support infrastructure, facility engineering, and sustainability initiatives at our manufacturing and office facilities. This role offers hands-on experience with building systems and project management. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering and operations.
What you'll do#
- Support HVAC improvement projects, including equipment assessments, system upgrades, performance monitoring, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Assist with electrical infrastructure projects, such as power distribution systems, lighting upgrades, backup power systems, and facility modernization.
- Collect, analyze, and report on utility consumption, energy performance, and sustainability metrics.
- Help plan, track, and document facility capital improvement projects.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support project execution.
- Maintain facility drawings, equipment records, and engineering data.
- Support environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from May to December 2027.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

- Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Employment: Full-time (paid).
