    About the role#

    As a Production Engineering Student, you will work with experienced professionals to support Conventional and Thermal production operations. You will collaborate with teams including Operations, Exploitation, Reservoir, and Facilities to ensure the safe and efficient performance of upstream oil and gas assets. This role involves applying academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges through data analysis, surveillance, and troubleshooting.

    What you'll do#

    • Evaluate well performance and identify production opportunities by reviewing active and inactive wells.
    • Analyze drilling, completion, production, and operating data to assess asset performance and spot trends.
    • Support production optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
    • Monitor production performance and investigate issues to assist with operational decision-making.
    • Assist with technical evaluations, engineering recommendations, and various production engineering projects.
    • Develop and maintain engineering reports, tools, and data analyses.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, Energy, or related engineering disciplines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with Power BI, Spotfire, SQL, or Python is an asset.
    • A valid Class 5 Alberta driver license or equivalent provincial license.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Calgary, Alberta (Head Office).
    • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
    • Term Lengths: 4, 8, or 12 months.
    • Term Starts: Summer 2027 or Fall 2027.
    • This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
    • This is a safety-sensitive role.
