About the role#
We are looking for an Office Services Summer Student to join our team in Calgary for a 4-month term starting in May 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Supervisor of Office Services. You will gain experience by supporting various operational departments and assisting with corporate projects.
What you'll do#
- Act as a point of contact for visitors and internal inquiries to maintain a professional image for the organization.
- Provide vacation coverage across several departments, including Reception, Mailroom, Purchasing, Reprographics, the Conference Center, and Facilities.
- Coordinate print requests and team events while managing promotional item inventory and distribution.
- Assist the Internal Communications team with updates related to office services and employee experience.
- Work with the Facilities team on office moves and renovations for our Calgary and field locations.
- Manage catering requests and room setups for the in-house conference center.
- Support building safety processes by liaising with building management regarding fire warden and AED training.
- Review vendor contracts and conduct bid analysis.
What you'll need#
- You are currently in your second or third year of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- You must be returning to your studies after this work term.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
- A focus on customer service and the ability to understand and relay client needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
- You work well both independently and as part of a team.
