About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you will serve as a representative for our community. This role focuses on maintaining high occupancy through resident retention and leasing activities. You will work on-site to assist with daily operations and resident services. This is a paid, part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Manage front desk administrative duties and maintain accurate lease file documentation.
- Greet prospective residents, answer leasing calls, and present apartment homes.
- Use the Cardinal Way of Leasing to determine resident needs and close sales.
- Complete lease applications and related paperwork.
- Help plan and execute community events.
- Keep the tour path clean to ensure a positive first impression.
- Participate in required training sessions and assist with additional community projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Current or future status as a leaseholder of the community.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and access all areas of the property, including interior and exterior spaces.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Real Estate, Communications, or Marketing.
