About the role#
As a Computer Science and Engineering Co-op, you will work alongside engineers to develop software for forklifts and material handling equipment. This role involves both general purpose and embedded software systems. You will join a development team using Scrum to manage your projects.
What you'll do#
- Write and modify code using Java, Angular, C/C++, C#, Python, or similar languages.
- Develop software for Android applications or Real-time Operating Systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts to define and clarify project requirements.
- Conceptualize new ideas for controlling sensors, actuators, and mechanical systems.
- Test and review code written by other team members.
- Perform bench-level unit testing and verify software performance through on-vehicle testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Prior experience with programming and analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
- High self-motivation and attention to detail.
- Ability to write and follow testing procedures.
- Reliable transportation to the worksite.
