About the role#
This internship provides experience inside a newsroom. You will learn how stories are developed, produced, and delivered across television and digital platforms. This position is open to students entering or currently in their junior or senior years at an accredited college or university.
What you'll do#
- Assist team members with content gathering and planning.
- Gather and organize press releases, emails, social media, and viewer tips.
- Develop and pitch story ideas.
- Write and format scripts for broadcast.
- Shadow reporters or anchors in the field.
- Conduct research and write content for digital platforms including the app and website.
- Assist with photo and video production.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
- Resume and cover letter in PDF format.
- A letter of recommendation from a professor.
- Creative works or writing samples.
Location & details#
- Location: Needham, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Duration: 10 to 12 weeks.
- Schedule: 24 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
