About the role#
WMUR-TV offers paid internships within the Engineering and Production department. This role provides direct exposure to daily technical operations at a television station. You will work alongside permanent technical staff to gain hands-on experience in a broadcast environment.
What you'll do#
You will train on various aspects of engineering and production. The program covers four main technical areas: production, air operations, engineering, and IT.
- Operate equipment under the supervision of staff members.
- Learn floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter use, editing, and directing.
- Gain experience in master control for air operations.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and support of broadcast systems.
- Return to specific areas of interest for additional training after completing initial rotations.

Location & details#
This internship is located in Manchester, New Hampshire. It is an on-site position for Summer 2026. The program consists of up to 24 hours per week. While your scheduled days will remain consistent from week to week, your daily hours will vary. The application deadline for the summer term is May 15, 2026.
