About the role#
As a CFO Advisory Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the accounting advisory and consulting field. You will apply your academic coursework to real client situations while working alongside teams on complex financial engagements. This role requires a commitment of 32-40 hours per week during regular business hours.
What you'll do#
- Support the performance of accounting advisory consulting engagements, including resolving issues related to events, transactions, and accounting policies.
- Assist with project quality control and client engagements from initial planning through field work and deliverable composition.
- Provide recommendations regarding client accounting processes and procedures.
- Support teams with complex engagements, such as M&A, SEC reporting, revenue recognition, restatements, and debt or equity transactions.
- Develop productive working relationships with client personnel to understand their business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Strong interest in obtaining a CPA designation.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
- Solid organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Capacity to adapt to changing environments.
