About the role#
The CFO Advisory Intern role provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real client situations. You will work with teams on complex engagements including mergers and acquisitions, restatements, revenue recognition, and financial process improvement. This internship focuses on building technical accounting skills and understanding client business needs.
What you'll do#
- Support the performance of accounting advisory consulting engagements.
- Assist with project quality control from initial planning through field work and deliverable composition.
- Maintain a client-first focus by building professional relationships and understanding specific business objectives.
- Provide recommendations regarding client accounting processes and procedures.
- Resolve issues related to events, transactions, and accounting policies.
What you'll need#
- Current junior standing pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Curiosity about business operations and the impact of accounting and information systems.
- Interest in technical accounting, business intelligence, and professional designations like the CPA.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to adapt to changing environments.

- Location: Tysons Corner, Virginia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time, approximately 32-40 hours per week.
- Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
