About the role#
The CFO Advisory Intern role provides an opportunity to gain experience in accounting advisory and consulting. You will work on engagements involving technical accounting, process improvements, and business operations. The position is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Atlanta, Georgia.
What you'll do#
- Support accounting advisory consulting engagements, including resolving issues related to events, transactions, and accounting policies.
- Apply academic coursework to real client situations.
- Assist with project quality control, planning, fieldwork, and the creation of deliverables.
- Develop professional relationships with client personnel to meet engagement objectives.
- Provide recommendations for client accounting processes and procedures.
- Support teams on complex projects such as mergers and acquisitions, restatements, revenue recognition, lease standard implementation, and financial analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Interest in obtaining a CPA designation.
- Curiosity about business operations and the impact of accounting systems on transactions.
- Interest in technical accounting and business intelligence.
- Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.

- Compensation: $32.00 to $37.00 per hour.
