About the role#
Chestnut Health Systems is looking for Marketing and Communications Interns to gain hands-on experience by supporting marketing initiatives. You will work with professionals to create content, support events, and develop campaigns. This role is designed to help you build a professional portfolio while contributing to projects that impact our communities. Assignments vary based on department needs and your academic requirements.
What you'll do#
- Create, write, edit, and proofread original content for various communication channels.
- Support social media strategy by developing content and monitoring engagement.
- Assist with multimedia projects, including photography and videography.
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external events.
- Research communication trends and best practices to support marketing initiatives.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Health, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A demonstrated interest in writing, social media, graphic design, or digital marketing.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.

- This position is located in Bloomington, Illinois.
- This is an on-site, unpaid, full-time internship.
