About the role#
This is an unpaid internship for undergraduate or graduate students during the Fall 2026 semester. You will work in-person at the Bloomington office and throughout the surrounding community.
What you'll do#
You will support the McLean County Prevention Coordinator with various projects, including Narcan education, BN Parents, and Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC). Your daily tasks include:
- Coordinating training events for the coalition and the public.
- Developing newsletters and maintaining social media accounts.
- Conducting community outreach and preparing materials.
- Researching evidence-based practices.
- Collecting and analyzing data.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students majoring in Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or Health Administration. You should be self-directed and comfortable engaging with community stakeholders to help reduce underage drinking and drug use. We welcome applicants with recovery experience and a genuine interest in prevention work.
