About the role#
As an Equity Research Analyst, you will join the Global Markets team in Calgary. You will work with the Energy sector coverage team to deliver banking and investment solutions. This role offers exposure to the Capital Markets industry, where you will assist in researching companies, analyzing market trends, and forecasting. You will collaborate with your team to generate insights and optimize internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience in the process of writing research reports.
- Take the lead on specific projects and tasks within the Capital Markets industry.
- Communicate detailed financial information in an impactful way.
- Partner with the team to analyze industries and market trends.
- Deliver innovative solutions to corporate and institutional clients.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- A graduation date no sooner than August 2027.
- Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- A proven record of academic success, teamwork, and extracurricular involvement.
- A demonstrated passion for financial markets.
- Experience with financial reporting or MS Power BI is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Term: Winter 2027 (4 months, January to April).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: The expected annualized base salary is $100,000.
