About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at CIBC, you will contribute to hands-on assignments focused on developing and enhancing software applications. You will work within a team to build, code, test, and debug end-to-end solutions. This role offers exposure to banking products, core systems, and regulatory processes while you build your technical and analytical skills through mentorship.
What you'll do#
- Develop, code, test, and debug end-to-end software solutions.
- Participate in technical design, development, and integration activities across platforms.
- Collaborate with technology and business partners to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Support adherence to regulatory, information security, and internal policy requirements.
- Participate in training, mentorship, and development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Foundational technical knowledge of the software development life cycle, databases, and network security concepts.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
