About the role#
The Future Leaders Program - Data Intern role is a full-time summer opportunity designed to build skills in finance insights and data-driven decision-making. You will work on projects within data science, decision science, and business analytics. This program includes mentorship, training, and performance feedback. Successful completion may lead to selection for a two-year development rotational program after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Partner with customers to capture business requirements and define data needs.
- Coordinate information management practices, such as data quality and lineage, into business processes.
- Support the development of business intelligence solutions using various data sources and structures.
- Collaborate with technology teams on analytic infrastructure and data engineering efforts.
- Assist in the delivery of business insights using machine learning, simulation, and optimization.
- Perform hands-on model life cycle tasks alongside senior team members.
- Develop and deploy models within the Model Development Life Cycle and Model Risk Management frameworks.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, science, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Graduation date no earlier than August 13, 2027.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in data or information-related practices.
- Foundational skills in at least one dynamic scripted language, such as Python or R.
- Experience with database query languages like SQL, HQL, or NoSQL.
- Knowledge of classical supervised and unsupervised modeling concepts.
- Interest in or experience with AI-enabled tools for business insights.
- Academic concentration in Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or similar quantitative fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with platforms like Tableau, Business Objects, Sigma, or Snowflake is a plus.
- Prior relevant internship experience is preferred.

- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly rate between $27.50 and $36.00, plus an intern stipend.
