About the role#
As an IT Intern at Clancy & Theys Construction Company, you will gain hands-on experience in a corporate technology environment. You will work alongside our IT team to support the systems and hardware that keep our construction projects moving. This role offers exposure to enterprise technology operations, cybersecurity practices, and the specialized systems used in the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Set up, deploy, and troubleshoot laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other technology.
- Assist with user account creation, access requests, and general IT onboarding tasks.
- Document IT procedures, knowledge articles, and support solutions.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories.
- Support jobsite and conference room technology, including audio/visual equipment.
- Assist with technology projects, system upgrades, and testing.
- Provide responsive support to employees while following company cybersecurity policies.
- Explore how emerging technologies, including AI, can improve business processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and AI technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, systems, and business processes.
- A detail-oriented approach to managing multiple tasks.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
