About the role#
CNH is hiring a Design Cost Management Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Oak Brook, Illinois. You will support Global Product Development projects by managing costs and working closely with engineering teams to meet project targets.
What you'll do#
- Set cost baselines for GPD projects.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide costed parts that align with project goals.
- Contribute to the OneGPD project for the GCL Cab.
- Align common parts, components, and systems to fit across modular cab designs.
- Benchmark cab components from various tractor platforms to identify common characteristics.
- Define single unique parts for modular cab systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program, specifically in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including BOM management and related callouts.
- Previous experience or a basic understanding of cost methodology.
- Manufacturing experience and an understanding of how parts are produced.
