About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will support our team in Racine, Wisconsin, by planning and executing physical evaluations for driveline components and systems. This role involves working in a laboratory environment to test performance and durability for our agriculture equipment. You will collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineering teams to support new product development and resolve current product issues.
What you'll do#
- Plan, set up, and monitor tests for driveline components in the lab.
- Interface with stakeholders to define test requirements.
- Write and follow laboratory test procedures.
- Perform hands-on assembly, disassembly, and inspection of components.
- Install, calibrate, and operate test equipment.
- Provide direction to lab technicians.
- Troubleshoot problems with test equipment or drivelines and implement fixes.
- Evaluate if systems meet design criteria.
- Identify performance trends and propose improvements.
- Collect, analyze, and report test data through formal technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to recognize when issues require escalation.
