About the role#
As a Thermal Systems Engineer Intern, you will work on HVAC systems for agricultural machinery. You will apply systems engineering methods to translate product requirements into system diagrams and component-level specifications. You will also use thermodynamics to describe the behavior of refrigeration cycles to ensure vehicle operators remain comfortable in severe working environments.
What you'll do#
- Create detailed product designs, including 3D models, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform design calculations, simulations, and stress analysis to verify product safety and performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and product management teams to ensure designs meet quality, cost, and functionality targets.
- Conduct design reviews and refine models based on stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare technical reports, manuals, and design documentation.
- Monitor industry trends and new technologies to improve design processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program.
- Active pursuit of at least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

- Location: Oak Brook, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship with a salary range of $19.57 to $35.02 per hour.
