About the role#
This is a 12-week internship taking place during the summer of 2027. As a User Research Intern, you will join the User Research team to help researchers, designers, and product managers understand user needs across products like Coinbase Cloud and developer tools. You will tackle complex product problems and build foundational skills in UX research at scale.
What you'll do#
- Own one or more research projects alongside researchers, designers, and product managers to investigate specific product areas.
- Plan and execute research to solve complex, ambiguous product questions using appropriate methodologies.
- Deliver research reports that clearly communicate findings and provide actionable design and product recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional teammates to translate user insights into product experiences that help people engage with the crypto economy.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a career in user research through a degree in a research-related field or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of general research principles such as experimental design, bias, and confounds.
- Working knowledge of UX research principles like usability testing and design thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate research findings clearly, supported by a final report from a past research project.
- Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and the role Coinbase plays in the crypto economy.
- Ability to utilize generative AI responsibly while maintaining human oversight.

- Compensation: Paid at an hourly rate of $60.
