About the role#
The School of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering at Colorado State University hires Non-Student Hourly Research Assistants to support faculty-led projects. Assignments depend on current research needs, funding, and your specific background. This role involves direct participation in laboratory, computational, or technical activities within a research group.
What you'll do#
- Assist with laboratory, computational, analytical, or engineering research tasks.
- Prepare samples, materials, and equipment for experiments.
- Collect, organize, and analyze research data.
- Operate research equipment, software, and instrumentation.
- Conduct literature searches to organize scientific or technical information.
- Maintain accurate research records, notebooks, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other team members.
What you'll need#
- Education, training, or experience relevant to the assigned research activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate research records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant degrees or coursework in fields such as Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry are preferred.
