    About the role#

    Colorado State University is hiring seasonal staff for the Grounds Department. This position is for non-students and focuses on maintaining the campus environment through various manual labor and upkeep tasks. The role is full-time and runs through the winter of 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform general grounds tasks such as mowing, raking, shoveling, sweeping, edging, and string trimming.
    • Maintain sports fields and flower beds, including soil preparation, watering, and fertilization.
    • Conduct chemical spraying as needed.
    • Keep campus areas like sidewalks, streets, parking lots, and plazas clear and clean.
    • Support campus events and assist with general maintenance, repair, and organization of equipment and storage facilities.

    What you'll need#

    • A valid Driver License.
    • Ability to pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check.
    • A dependable, prompt, and honest approach to work.
    • Ability to interact effectively with the campus community.
    • Preferred qualifications include experience with grounds maintenance tools like mowers and trimmers, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

    • Salary: 16.22 per hour.
