About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning and helping the healthcare team provide safe and organized care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit during night shifts. You will help maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with hygiene.
- Document all tasks and observations clearly and accurately.
- Communicate with the care team during handoffs and shift reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform hourly rounding and purposeful interactions with patients.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and cleaning.
- Uphold customer service standards for patients and their families.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification from the AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card for Skilled Nursing.
