About the role#
As a Radiology Student, you perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist. This position helps you build clinical competency and technical skills while you complete your education. You will support patient care by assisting with exams, following safety protocols, and keeping the imaging environment organized.
What you'll do#
- Perform radiologic examinations while working under a registered technologist.
- Position patients and select technical factors to get clear diagnostic images.
- Explain procedures to patients to help them feel comfortable and informed.
- Use personal protective equipment and follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
- Label images, use side markers, and document procedures in the appropriate systems.
- Keep the workspace clean and safe for patients and staff.
- Ask technologists and instructors for guidance to improve your performance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Between 0 and 1 years of clinical experience.
- Ability to obtain BCLS - Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Basic knowledge of imaging equipment and radiographic procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and basic computer skills.
