About the role#
We are looking for a Culinary Intern to join the team at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside hospitality leaders to build skills in culinary operations, guest services, and menu development. This role provides hands-on experience in a campus environment to help you prepare for a career in the culinary arts.
What you'll do#
- Support the daily operation of serving platforms.
- Follow standard recipes and ensure proper food presentation.
- Maintain safety standards for food handling and equipment operation.
- Help deliver an exceptional experience for all guests.
- Bring new ideas and innovation into our services.
- Assist with inventory, storage, and purchasing tasks.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in the hospitality, service, and culinary industries.
- An attitude of a leader and the ability to work well with others.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- An awareness of sustainability practices, such as farm to fork initiatives or carbon foodprint reduction.
- Students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering are encouraged to apply.
