About the role#
This is a rotational co-op program at Plymouth State University. You will work alongside mentors in areas including safety, culinary services, catering, sustainability, human resources, marketing, finance, and operations. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in hospitality and business management.
What you'll do#
- Learn safety and food safety protocols, train across multiple food service stations, and assist in menu planning, cost control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Support catering setup, menu planning, ordering, and client interaction, participate in Banquet Event Order meetings, and learn CaterTrax software.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, training, and associate engagement programs, and participate in job fairs and orientation sessions.
- Shadow front-of-house and back-of-house managers, lead pre-service meetings, review operational standards, and assist with scheduling and labor reporting.
- Conduct marketing audits, plan and promote events, manage social media content, and support meal plan marketing.
- Complete MyFinance and COGA training, review P&L statements, track KPIs, and present improvement proposals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Hospitality, Business, Culinary, Marketing, or related program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and rotate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with hospitality or POS systems is a plus.
- A flexible schedule, as some evening or weekend availability may be required.

- Compensation: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.
- Status: Paid internship. This position is not eligible for paid time off or company benefits.
