About the role#
The Field Operations Co-op supports Superintendents and Project Managers with safety program administration, schedule analysis, and job site documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Orono, Maine, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Assist with daily and weekly activities, including preparing daily reports and conducting safety walks.
- Review and contribute to the short-term planning process to ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities to support adherence to project timelines and safety requirements.
- Use construction management software and tools to track and update project information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards, practices, and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and technical documents.
- Basic understanding of construction scheduling, including critical path method concepts.
