About the role#
Cretex Medical is hiring an Operational Excellence Intern for the summer of 2027 in Dassel, Minnesota. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site. You will work with the engineering department to support manufacturing, quality, and operational projects from the initial scope definition through to final implementation.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for manufacturing processes and internal customers.
- Assist with implementing design and process improvements.
- Participate in company and department meetings.
- Maintain an organized workspace using 5S principles.
- Support and comply with ISO standards, the company Quality System, and medical device requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and quality as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices.
- Experience with ERP or other business-related systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with coworkers and suppliers.
