About the role#
Crystal Valley is hiring interns for the summer of 2027. This position offers experience in the agronomy sales profession through mentorship and hands-on work. You will work from our Madelia location. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May through August.
What you'll do#
- Work with the sales team to scout crops, identify pests, and create agronomic recommendations.
- Assist with in-season operations, including seed delivery, sorting, and product returns.
- Perform field tasks like soil sampling, plant tissue sampling, and nutrient testing.
- Help with aerial application business and general agronomy plant operations.
- Utilize integrated pest management practices.
- Learn to use agronomy and precision ag software.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions.
- Assist with inventory management and warehouse procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an agriculture-related degree program, such as Ag Business or Crop Science.
- An agricultural or ag retail background.
- A desire to serve farmers and others in the agriculture industry.
- Basic skills in equipment operation.
- A willingness to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.
- The ability to get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform.
