About the role#
KWS Group is hiring a Sales Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid position supports the Great Lakes Regional manager in the Michigan Sugar growing market. You will focus on promoting ACH Seeds and Crystal Brand Sugarbeet Seed while gaining exposure to corporate operations and field research.
What you'll do#
- Support the Region Manager with sales and marketing activities, including event coordination and planning.
- Assist with the Homegrown Giving program, golf outings, youth projects, and staff appreciation events.
- Help coordinate participant lists and logistics for the Oregon Tour.
- Represent the company at county fairs and local festivals.
- Facilitate the ACH Seed Strip Trial Program, which includes planting, soil sampling, tissue sampling, and monitoring.
- Collect agronomic data from cooperators and evaluate Michigan Sugar Official Variety Trials.
- Work alongside Michigan Sugar agriculturists on field visits, crop sampling, and scouting.
- Coordinate with Independent Sales Agents to distribute materials and manage field sign placement.
- Travel to the corporate office to meet with functional groups and visit the Shakopee research location.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an agricultural discipline.
- Must be based in the Michigan beet growing area.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and comfort using social media.
- A reliable personal vehicle for travel (business miles are reimbursed at the federal rate).
- Prior knowledge of agriculture and farming is a plus.
