About the role#
CHS Inc. is seeking an Energy Sales Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Battle Creek, Nebraska. This paid, full-time internship provides an opportunity to gain insight into the energy industry by working directly with our team. You will focus on the role of a Certified Energy Specialist and learn how our energy operations function.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist to learn about sales, marketing, and consulting processes for CENEX products.
- Attend sales calls and in-person meetings for commercial business.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers.
- Spend time in the field with the energy service team to understand industry operations.
- Ride along with a propane route driver to see how their work coordinates with the service and sales teams.
- Observe the Energy Manager to learn how the operation is managed for safety and efficiency.
- Learn about CHS energy programs, including the Cenex brand.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an energy, agriculture, or related field of study.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Background knowledge or experience in agriculture or energy is helpful.
