About the role#
We are looking for an Energy Sales Intern to join our team in Mitchell, South Dakota for the Spring 2025 term. This role focuses on the work of a Certified Energy Specialist. You will work directly with customers and learn how our energy operations run.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist to learn how we increase sales and profitability.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential customers.
- Attend sales calls and in-person meetings for commercial business.
- Learn about our energy programs, including the Cenex brand.
- Ride along with a propane route driver to see how their work coordinates with the service team.
- Spend time with the Energy Manager to understand how the operation stays safe and productive.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an energy, agriculture, or related field of study.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication skills.
- A detail-oriented approach to your work.

- Location: Mitchell, South Dakota.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
