About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations while preparing for the responsibilities of a future Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and time with district leadership.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all patient and colleague interactions.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive culture while helping patients navigate their health care.
- Support immunizations and other health care services as allowed by law and supported by required training.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability to work nights and weekends.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
