About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience with pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Follow all company SOPs to help manage and improve patient health.
- Provide additional patient health care services such as immunizations.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on key learning experiences.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus to concentrate on tasks over a period of time.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
