About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to support patient health. You will operate under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail environment. This role focuses on delivering care to patients and managing pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Keep patients healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Assist with inventory management, workflow, and customer service.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and remaining upright for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
