About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will help manage patient care programs and maintain a safe, effective work environment within the retail pharmacy. This position focuses on delivering quality care while developing your professional skills in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and assist with their health needs.
- Manage patient care programs and support inventory management.
- Facilitate a positive team culture that promotes enthusiasm and care.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains safe and effective for all.
- Participate in customer service duties and workflow management.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reach.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
- The position is part-time and on-site.
- Compensation ranges from $20.50 to $24.25 per hour.
