About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail environment while delivering quality service to patients. You will contribute to the pharmacy team by managing workflows, assisting with inventory, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met.

- Deliver patient care programs to help customers manage their health.
- Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring and enthusiasm.
- Align others around the purpose of health care.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, and using finger dexterity to handle pharmacy items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.

- Location: Alexandria, Virginia.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a part-time, paid position.
- Pay range: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
