About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role provides an overview of store and regional operations while preparing you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and district-level activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Follow established pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by providing empathetic and professional service.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles.
- Maintain focus and attention to detail while performing tasks like cycle counts and medication inventory management.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus to perform tasks accurately over time.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning to solve problems, such as calculating medication dosages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
