About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work as part of the pharmacy team to deliver care and support to patients. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role involves managing patient care programs, maintaining regulatory requirements, and handling inventory and workflow tasks.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient and display empathy and compassion.
- Manage patient care programs to support health outcomes.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy and caring.
- Assist with pharmacy professional practice, quality assurance, and customer service.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, scanning items, and remaining upright for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.

- Location: Portland, Maine.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a part-time position with a pay range of $20.00 to $42.00 per hour.
