About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will support patient care programs and help manage daily pharmacy operations, including inventory and workflow. This role requires a commitment to providing quality care and maintaining a positive team culture.
What you'll do#
- Support patient health through the adoption and management of care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and team members.
- Facilitate a culture of caring, energy, and enthusiasm within the pharmacy team.
- Collaborate with others to seek new ways to grow and improve patient outcomes.
- Assist with pharmacy tasks including patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Once state regulations are met, work toward providing patient immunizations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
