About the role#
Deaconess Health System is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our team in Mount Vernon, Illinois. This is a full-time, on-site position with a rolling start date. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Health Administration.
What you'll do#
- Collect blood samples from patients in clinical, hospital, or laboratory settings.
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws.
- Handle specimens to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain a CPR BLS card from the AHA within 90 days of hire.
