    About the role#

    Deaconess Health System is hiring a Student Respiratory Therapist to support our clinical team. This role provides hands-on experience in a hospital setting and offers flexible scheduling to fit around your current academic program.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the Respiratory Therapy team with daily patient care under supervision.
    • Observe and participate in the administration of respiratory treatments.
    • Learn to operate and maintain respiratory equipment.
    • Monitor patient respiratory status and report changes to supervising staff.
    • Follow safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
    • Strong interest in patient care and respiratory health.
    • Ability to follow directions and work well within a team.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • CPR certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it.

    • Term: Rolling.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Part-time.
    • Compensation: Paid position starting at $18 per hour, with potential for shift incentives and performance-based bonuses.
