About the role#
Deaconess Health System is hiring a Surgical Technologist Student to assist surgeons and medical staff during procedures. This role supports the operating room team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring equipment is ready for use.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Arrange the operating room with necessary supplies.
- Pass instruments, sutures, and other materials to the surgical team during procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and monitor vital signs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of surgical equipment.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from a school of Operating Room Technicians.
- Current enrollment in a Surgical or RN program.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Previous experience is preferred.

- Location: Marion, Illinois.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time with rolling terms.
- Compensation: Starting at $18 per hour.
