    About the role#

    As a Software Quality Assurance Co-op, you will ensure our software meets user needs. You will apply testing methods to evaluate products before release, ensuring they meet design specifications. You will work closely with the Product Development team to document results and verify that bug fixes meet requirements.

    What you'll do#

    • Test software while identifying bugs critical to the end-user.
    • Create and maintain test documentation.
    • Log new entries in bug tracking software.
    • Verify that bug fixes are satisfactory on new builds.
    • Design, code, and maintain automation frameworks, tests, and tools.
    • Troubleshoot complex software problems.
    • Identify usability issues and suggest improvements.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited post-secondary program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Strong understanding of Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
    • Knowledge of networked applications, including how to test for quality, performance, and resilience.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and manage your time effectively.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-driven attitude with a desire to improve professionally.
    • A working knowledge of building controls, control theory, and electronics is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Surrey, British Columbia.
    • Modality: Hybrid (currently 3 days per week).
    • Term: 8-12 months.
    • Compensation: $23 - $26 CAD per hour.
