About the role#
The Software Quality Assurance Co-op ensures our software meets user needs and design specifications. You will test products before they reach production, document test procedures, and verify that bug fixes satisfy customer requirements. This role involves working across departments to maintain high standards for our building automation solutions.
What you'll do#
- Test software and identify critical bugs.
- Create and maintain test documentation.
- Log new entries in bug tracking software and verify resolutions.
- Design, code, and maintain automation frameworks, tests, and tools.
- Troubleshoot complex software problems.
- Assist Technical Services with product support.
- Identify usability problems and suggest improvements.
- Review product development and user documentation.
- Manage issue workflows, priorities, and completeness.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited post-secondary institute.
- At least two years of study in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of networked applications and systems.
- Working knowledge of building controls, control theory, and electronics is an asset.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-driven approach to work.

- Location: Surrey, British Columbia.
- Modality: Hybrid (currently 3 days per week).
- Status: Paid, full-time co-op term.
