About the role#
Dewberry is hiring a Geotechnical Intern for the Summer 2027 program in our Bloomfield, New Jersey office. You will join the Geotechnical Engineering Department to gain hands-on project experience and apply your classroom knowledge to real-world tasks. This role offers the chance to work on projects similar to those handled by our full-time staff.
What you'll do#
- Develop your technical skills through meaningful project work.
- Participate in professional development workshops and networking events.
- Collaborate on a summer-long group project with firm leaders to address company strategy.
- Engage with staff and senior leaders to learn about our services and clients.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using CADD software, specifically MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- A desire to work in a team environment.
- Previous experience in soil boring inspection or foundation design is a plus.

- Compensation: $18.75 to $29.75 per hour.
