About the role#
Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join our Civil/Transportation Group in New York City to gain hands-on project experience and apply your classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. This is a full-time, paid position. Please note that we do not provide a housing stipend and cannot offer work sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Design horizontal and vertical alignments.
- Create drainage systems and stormwater management plans.
- Develop erosion and sediment control strategies.
- Produce maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.
- Prepare contract plans for various project types.
- Participate in potential field work and company-wide intern workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Civil Engineering.
- Experience using CADD software, specifically MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to work within a team environment.
