About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role reports to the Engineering Documentation Manager and focuses on maintaining technical documentation and product information. You will work with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing departments to ensure our product records are accurate and up to date.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and maintain product and installation drawings.
- Update layouts, assembly, and detail drawings using CAD software.
- Manage the Document Change Request (DCR) process.
- Keep engineering part numbers and bills of materials current for new and existing products.
- Maintain drawing files in proper sequence.
- Update orthographic or isometric illustrations as needed.
- Follow all current ISO processes and procedures.
- Occasionally lift 15-20 pounds.
What you'll need#
- One to two years of college or trade school education in mechanical drawing or a related field.
- Practical experience in engineering or manufacturing may be substituted for formal training.
- Experience with AutoCAD schematic diagrams.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with software used in manufacturing.
- Analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
